We are seeking a creative, self-motivated Social Media Manager to oversee social media for Piatti Laguna Beach while remotely managing accounts for Piatti La Jolla, Danville, Sacramento, and Mill Valley. This role is freelance/contract-based with no set weekly hours and allows for remote work, though Southern California-based candidates are preferred for ease of travel. Pay is monthly retainer based on experience.


Responsibilities
Piatti Laguna Beach Social Media Management

  • Content Creation & On-Site Management
    • Travel to Laguna Beach once per month to capture photo and video content.
    • Develop Instagram Reels, video content, and high-quality static images.
    • Ensure brand consistency in visual identity, messaging, and engagement.
    • Manage facebook, instagram, and tik tok pages
  • Social Strategy & Community Engagement
    • Develop and execute a content calendar aligned with marketing objectives.
    • Engage with followers, respond to comments, and foster community interaction on a daily basis.
    • Implement growth strategies to increase brand awareness, impressions, and engagement.
    • Source local partnership collaborators and influencers to help position Piatti Laguna's new account for growth.
  • Advertising & Performance Analytics
    • Manage and optimize periodic paid social media campaigns (budgeting, targeting, analytics) to support evolving business goals
    • Track performance using insights and analytics tools to report on key metrics.
    • Adjust strategies based on data-driven insights.


Qualifications & Skills

  • 3+ years of proven experience in social media management, preferably in hospitality or restaurant marketing.
  • Strong knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, and Tik Tok trends, best practices, and algorithm changes.
  • Local market experience preferred - familiarity with Laguna Beach and nearby community happenings and network
  • Experience using Later, our preferred social media scheduling tool
  • Proficiency in content creation (photography, video, Reels) for Laguna Beach.
  • Experience using Canva, Adobe Lightroom, or similar design tools.
  • Ability to analyze insights, understand algorithms and make data-driven marketing decisions.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate seamlessly with local Operational teams including Chefs, Managers, Sales teams
  • Familiarity with paid social advertising and digital marketing strategies.
  • Strong written communication skills for caption writing.

  • Monthly travel to Laguna Beach location is required to capture content
  • Freelance contract role on retainer
