
What you’ll do
You will:

Plan and execute our licensing footprint across key markets.

Handle regulatory inquiries, investigations and enforcement matters.

Build and maintain relationships with regulators.

Advise product, sales, marketing and operations.

Operationalise new licences from zero to one, ensuring we are licence-ready in practice, not just on paper.

This is a senior, hands-on role for someone comfortable owning complex matters end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities

Licensing Strategy & Applications
-
Map where licences/registrations are needed and propose a global plan.
-
Lead licence and registration applications with internal teams and external counsel.

Track regulatory changes and explain their impact on our business.
Regulatory Inquiries & Investigations
-
Manage responses to requests, inspections, warning letters and enforcement risks.
-
Coordinate fact-finding, drafts and negotiations with regulators.
-
Drive remediation actions and ensure commitments are delivered.
Regulator Relationships

Act as a point of contact for regulators in key jurisdictions.

Help build a reputation as a transparent and responsible firm.
Business Advisory (Product / Sales / Marketing)

Advise on whether and how products and features can be offered in each market.

Review campaigns, promotions and partnerships for regulatory risk.

Create clear “do / don’t” guidelines for Growth and Branding teams.
Operationalising New Licences

Turn licence conditions into concrete policies, processes and controls.

Work with compliance, risk, ops and product to ensure we meet ongoing obligations.

Support training and governance.
Requirements
-
Qualified lawyer with 8+ years experience in financial services, fintech or similar.

Solid experience with licensing/authorisations and regulatory interactions.

Strong written and verbal communication, especially for regulators and senior management.

Able to work independently, prioritise and drive outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
