
The Ecosystem Grants Analyst will be key in overseeing grant submissions and administration at Aptos Foundation. This role will involve coordinating with various departments, helping to streamline the end-to-end grant process, and supporting applicants and grant recipients. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills, a strong eye for detail, and a passion for enabling the growth of the Aptos ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and filter incoming grant applications, ensuring alignment with evaluation criteria, and follow up with applicants to gather additional information.
- Draft, review, and process grant agreements in collaboration with Legal, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of grant agreements, milestones, and recipient details in the grants management database.
- Act as the primary point of contact for grant recipients, providing ongoing support and resolving queries throughout the grant lifecycle.
- Monitor grant recipients’ progress against agreed milestones, conduct regular check-ins, and coordinate follow-ups as needed.
- Prepare internal reports and dashboards to track grant performance, milestone completion, and overall program success.
- Perform regular audits of the grants database to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to organizational standards.
- Identify opportunities to enhance grant administration processes, implement best practices, and contribute to operational efficiency.
- Partner with internal teams, including Operations, Finance, Ecosystem, and Marketing, to ensure seamless execution and monitoring of grant initiatives.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience working with nonprofit organizations, foundations, consulting, or similar entities with notable expertise in grant-making and management.
- Previous experience in blockchain and crypto is preferred.
- Experience with Airtable and integrations (eg, Zapier) is preferred.
- A commitment to efficient grant/funding distribution and capacity to perform cost-analysis of funding proposals to ensure Foundation funds are carefully allocated to fair-priced services.
- Resourcefulness and the ability to bring creative, data-driven solutions to every problem, always seeking opportunities rather than obstacles.
- Ability to drive projects independently, thrive on autonomy, and manage multiple initiatives while maintaining a high quality of work.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
