Freelance Writer, Marketing & Business
GeistM are seeking a skilled Marketing & Business Freelance Writer to join our team and deliver impactful content focused on cutting-edge marketing strategies, business insights, and industry trends. This role is ideal for someone who can synthesize complex business concepts into clear, actionable content that resonates with professionals across various industries. The ideal candidate will be comfortable exploring topics such as digital marketing innovations, startup culture, consumer behavior analytics, and leadership advice.
This role will focus on crafting high-quality affiliate articles, organic/SEO content, and sponsored content across our owned and operated websites, such as PayPath as well as the company site, GeistM.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce engaging articles for a range of marketing and business topics relevant to our sites as assigned by the editorial team.
- Develop SEO-driven content to enhance organic search visibility and engagement across all owned sites.
- Create compelling affiliate and/or sponsored content that aligns seamlessly with both partner expectations and our brand voice as requested.
- Submit article pitches to the editorial team for review and approval.
- Use on-page SEO best practices when crafting your articles (e.g. formatting, interlinking, image sources).
- Ensure all content meets high-quality standards for accuracy, readability, and impact.
- Keep abreast of industry trends to continuously improve content and adapt strategies.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in content writing and a proven track record writing for marketing and and business topics.
- Strong SEO background with a track record of increasing search engine rankings and traffic.
- Ability to adapt writing style and tone to different target audiences and content formats.
- Excellent research, writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Experience writing for multiple industries and brand types.
- Ability to collaborate with remote teams and a strong communicator.
- Ability to meet weekly deadlines. Daily deadlines are a plus (for trending topics).
- Experience using Google Drive, especially Google Docs.
- Comfortable working with project management tools, such as Monday.com.
