Freelance Content Creator

Communications & Marketing Department

Reporting to: Social Media Manager

Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Location: Hybrid - New York, Remote Eligible

Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights seeks talented freelance content creators to support our Social Media Manager with short-form video production and on-camera work 🎥✨

A successful candidate must have the following skills and experiences:

• Comfortable being on camera and can bring energy and authenticity to your videos.
• Passion for social justice and human rights and are eager to contribute to a cause that makes a difference.
• Demonstrated experience in video editing and familiar with the tools needed to create high-quality content (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Canva).
• Ability to stay on top of social media trends and understand how to create content that resonates across platforms.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines while maintaining a high standard of work.
• Creative self-starter who can take direction but also bring your own ideas to the table.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional time management, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects at once.
• Believes in inclusivity when working with colleagues with different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.

Preferred but not required qualifications:

• Background in non-profit or human rights space

Availability and Compensation:

• Average 10-15 hours per week
• Temporary Part-time, hourly rate range of $80-$100 per hour, dependent on level of experience and on-camera work
• This position is eligible for overtime pay.
