Responsibilities

Strategic planning
- Develop and implement a comprehensive DevOps strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies, including OpenShift and PCF, to enhance DevOps processes.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of DevOps engineers.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and improvement.

Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure efficient and reliable code deployment across all environments, leveraging OpenShift and PCF platforms.

Infrastructure Management

Manage cloud infrastructure using platforms like AWS, OpenShift, and PCF
Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

Containerization and Orchestration
- Utilize containerization technologies such as Docker.
- Orchestrate containers using Kubernetes and manage deployments on OpenShift.

Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS)
- Lead the deployment and management of applications on PaaS platforms like OpenShift and PCF.
- Optimize the use of PaaS features to improve scalability and reliability.

Automation and Scripting
- Automate system configurations and deployments using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Implement configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.

Monitoring and Performance
- Set up comprehensive monitoring and logging systems using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
- Optimize system performance and reliability.

Security and Compliance
- Ensure all systems and processes comply with security standards and best practices.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits.

Collaboration
- Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline workflows.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders to resolve issues promptly.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, with at least 7 years in a DevOps role.
- Proven experience in leading and managing DevOps teams.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, OpenShift and Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF).

Technical Skills
- Extensive knowledge of DevOps practices, tools, and methodologies.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
- Strong experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes and OpenShift.
- Expertise in cloud platforms and services.
- Solid understanding of networking, security protocols, and best practices.
