About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Google’s Data Center Compliance, Safety, and Risk Management (CSRM) team is a dedicated organization chartered with protecting the people and assets of Google’s global critical infrastructure. CSRM consists of industry leading professionals who leverage advanced security systems, dedicated guarding forces, as well as rigorous risk management and compliance framework programs to support the entirety of Google Data Centers. Their measured approach allows Google Cloud to reach a broader audience and inspires trust in their users.

As a Technical Program Manager on the CSRM Compliance, Auditing, and Policy (CAP) team, you will lead and drive the success of audits and compliance as related to Google Data Centers. In this team, we are expected to be thought leaders who create effective solutions, by leveraging the expertise of a vast array of partners like Cloud Compliance, Legal, GDC Management, and GDC Googlers. In this role, you will cover a region of infrastructure spaces and interact closely with teams in GDC to ensure the successful delivery, execution and optimization of the audits and compliance program.

Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. We're proud to be our engineers' engineers and love voiding warranties by taking things apart so we can rebuild them. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Data Center teams to ensure that their programs align to audit/compliance expectations and help prepare them for future audits.
  • Coordinate, manage, and execute on site audits from various sources (customer, insurance, etc,) with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead and collaborate with the team and partners to help build and drive the tactical development of the Data Center compliance program.
  • Help enhance, transform, create or deprecate practices and processes, with the objective of supporting the compliance and audit requirements across the organization.
  • Create and maintain program documentation and training.
