Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing partnerships.
  • Experience working autonomously in an ever-changing, and collaborative environment.
  • Ability to identify business opportunities, assess financial/business benefit, structure agreements, and discuss terms with partners.
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

About the job

As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, you'll open doors with potential partners, lead exploratory discussions and evaluate/develop business opportunities. You will lead cross-functional teams, provide thought leadership and serve as a mentor to managers and associates. You are comfortable escalating and presenting business development strategies and key issues to senior management. You'll work closely with Google Product, Engineering, Legal and Sales teams on new product initiatives and key strategic relationships that support our online advertising business.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue potential business opportunities with mobile carriers and their franchisee channels to expand the Chromebook business.
  • Lead all aspects of relationships with key mobile carriers and their franchisee partners, driving new opportunities for Chromebook business growth.
  • Foster alignment across Google teams to develop a unified partnership approach that benefits both Google and our partners.
  • Plan the full-year consumer Chromebook strategy in collaboration with relevant local, global cross-functional teams, and external partners.
  • Manage the delivery of agreed-upon sales activities, from contracting to sales pitches with franchisees, by maximizing agency resources.
