Position Purpose: The Sr. Technical Product Manager is responsible for the full lifecycle of BCT satellite componentsβfrom concept through qualification, production, and end-of-lifeβwhile championing customer needs, optimizing ROI, and fostering cross-functional collaboration. This role ensures that technical solutions meet cost, schedule and performance requirements, cultivates continuous improvement, and maintains the highest standards of quality to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

Required Qualifications/Education:
Β· Bachelorβs degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Aerospace, Robotics, Systems or other related engineering discipline. A Masterβs degree counts as 2 years of experience.
Β· At least 10 years of relevant post-grad experience working with software-driven hardware products.
Β· Preferred 3 or more years product development or team leadership experience.
Β· Preferred direct experience with at least one of the satellite subsystems below:
o Guidance Navigation and Control (Reaction Wheels, Star Trackers, Torque Rods, etc.)
o Communications (Antennas, Radios, Data Recorders, Encryptors, etc.)
o Power (Solar Arrays, SADAs, Batteries, etc.)
o Mechanisms (Gimbals, Release Devices, Hinges, Payloads, etc.)
Β· Strong understanding of product lifecycle from concept to end-of-life, including technology readiness levels (TRL) and system design balancing performance, cost, power, and emerging technologies.
Β· Proven ability to work across Business Development, Engineering, and Operations organizations, driving collaboration across diverse teams.
Β· Strong skills in defining projects, writing concise and testable product requirements, developing procurement documents, and estimating staffing needs.
Β· Expertise in developing configurable products, growing new business opportunities, and executing demanding flight programs.
Β· Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations, make sound risk-based decisions, and methodically balance diverse requirements in dynamic environments.
Β· Demonstrated ability to perform trade studies, parametric analyses, and evaluate emerging technologies while managing competing requirements.
Β· Eager to test, demonstrate, and apply new technologies in real-world applications, with a βfigure it out and get it doneβ mentality.
Β· Strong skills with at least one common programming language such as MATLAB or Python.
Β· Desired experience using JIRA or another project planning tool.
Β· Strong verbal and written communication.
Β· Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education
Working Conditions:
This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.
