Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese fluently to collaborate with colleagues and complete tasks.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of common data structures and algorithms.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently in order to interact with internal and external stakeholders.

About the job

The gReach Program is a 12 months paid upskilling program for industry professionals with disabilities where participants will receive on-the-job-training and work on a range of projects. The goal of the gReach program is to provide participants from under-represented groups with the opportunity to grow their career as professionals.

As a Software Engineering Associate, you will work on projects critical to Google’s needs. You will design, test, deploy, and maintain software solutions as you grow and evolve during your gReach Engineering associateship.

Responsibilities

  • Work on a technical project to build solutions and gain exposure to scale and complexity.
  • Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution to effectively solve real-world problems.
  • Develop scripts to automate routine tasks.
  • Create and support a productive and innovative team, including working with peers, managers, and teams.
