Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- 2 years of experience working with Generative AI, Vertex AI and Generative AI Agent.
- 1 year of experience with one or more of the following: Speech/audio (e.g., technology duplicating and responding to the human voice), reinforcement learning (e.g., sequential decision making), ML infrastructure, or specialization in another ML field.
- 1 year of experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, debugging).
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
- Experience architecting and developing software or infrastructure for scalable, distributed systems and with machine learning technologies.
- Experience building scalable end-to-end software architectures that use agentic or GenAI driven capabilities.
- Experience with Vertex Search.
- Understanding of responsible AI practice.

In this role, as part of an entrepreneurial team in this growing business, you will help shape the future of businesses of all sizes using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). You will work with Product Development and Technical Sales teams as a Generative AI subject matter expert to bring Google Cloud AI products to customers and partners. You will help prospective customers and partners understand the power of Google AI, explaining technical features, helping customers design architectures, build AI powered applications, and problem-solving any potential roadblocks.
The Google Cloud AI Research team addresses AI challenges motivated by Google Cloud’s mission of bringing AI to tech, healthcare, finance, retail and many other industries. We work on a range of unique problems focused on research topics that maximize scientific and real-world impact, aiming to push the state-of-the-art in AI and share findings with the broader research community. We also collaborate with product teams to bring innovations to real-world impact that benefits our customers.
Responsibilities
- Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers.
- Provide AI expertise to support the technical relationship with Google’s customers, manage product and solution briefings, create demos, proof-of-concept work, and partner directly with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption to Google Cloud.
- Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to implement a complete solution Google Cloud.
- Support developers, creators, and enterprises to leverage Google’s Generative Language APIs so they can build their own AI products in the future.
- Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as needed.
