Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.
1 year of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
- Experience in Generative AI.
- Experience in Backend coding (e.g., Java) and data analysis skills.

In this role, you will be working on AI tools within Google Classroom, being responsible for all facets of software development. The team craft thoughtful engineering designs, write high-quality code, investigate new capabilities, explore nascent technologies, and manage launches carefully to ensure that provide safe and performant AI tools for educators.

We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. Responsibilities
- Develop scalable, features and systems using Google’s full stack.
- Write and test high-quality code that powers AI tools in Google Classroom, ensuring a seamless experience for our users.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to other engineers to maintain code quality and promote best practices.
- Manage individual project priorities, meeting deadlines, and delivering high-quality results.
- Participate in on-duty, triaging high priority issues and supporting the health of our AI tools.
