ABOUT BOND: Bond is a fast-growing startup on a mission to break down communication barriers between Deaf and hearing individuals by making personalized, high-quality sign language interpretation effortlessly accessible to everyone, anywhere. Our rapid growth has allowed us to raise an additional recent round of funding, which now supports our plans to quickly expand our product offering. Our first product, BondVRS, reimagines Video Relay Service (VRS), a critical service for the Deaf community. With a single click, Deaf users can instantly invite highly-skilled interpreters to any video platform — our proprietary Zoom-like platform or any mainstream platform (e.g. Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, Webex, FaceTime, and WhatsApp). As a user-focused team passionate about technology, accessibility, inclusion and bridging communication gaps, we’re looking for like-minded people. If you thrive in innovative, fast-paced environments, are curious to deeply understand the diverse needs of our rapidly growing userbase, and have the mindset to reimagine an industry, you’ll fit right in at Bond. This role is scoped at Senior or Staff level depending on experience, with ownership spanning core product strategy, execution, and cross-functional leadership. The ideal candidate for this senior role will be committed to deeply understanding the diverse needs of our users and our interpreters and will tailor solutions that measurably improve access, reliability and overall experience. To that end, a candidate with demonstrated ability to partner closely and build trust with the Deaf community and translate nuanced accessibility needs into strong product decisions, will be uniquely positioned to thrive in this role. What you’ll be doing: Drive Product Innovation & Iteration: Through robust and wide-ranging user conversations, build a comprehensive understanding of jobs to be done - and ways to delight! You will need to dive deep into the ‘why’ before tackling the ‘how’, foster continuous improvement, and ensure everyone connects their contributions to our broader mission of improving access and communication for the Deaf community. Be Hands-On: Everyone at Bond is hands-on within their domains; in part because understanding the details results in better decisions and in part because we are a small, early-stage startup and everyone often wears multiple hats! The ideal candidate is someone who can keep the big picture in mind, but who thrives in driving things forward day-to-day.Partner with Key Stakeholders: Work closely with the CEO and Head of Engineering to properly prioritize based on Bond’s goals, strategy, capabilities and user needs. What you’ll bring to the role: Proven Product Management Experience: 10+ years of hands-on product management experience; leading user interviews, drafting specs and roadmaps, building prototypes and running sprints.Detail-oriented and Data-Driven: Demonstrated experience in setting, hitting, and communication clear success metrics proactively and independently - knowing what is important and what is noise is critical when things move fast.Demonstrated success in a fast-moving, startup environment: You excel in dynamic, ambiguous environments and aren’t fazed when assumptions are disproven and plans change. Excellent Communication Skills: You can take wide-reaching considerations, input and opinions, and then build a cohesive and compelling path forward. You know how to keep stakeholders engaged and are committed to making sure that people understand the why behind your decisions.Own Product Outcomes: Take end-to-end ownership of key product areas, from discovery through delivery, with clear accountability for user impact, reliability, and adoption.
