Role Description:
Makini Concept is seeking a creative and experienced Script Writer to craft compelling scripts for various media formats, including film, television, digital content, and marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate has a strong storytelling ability, excellent dialogue-writing skills, and the ability to adapt scripts to different audiences and platforms.
This is a remote contract role, but candidates must be based in West Hollywood, California, and authorized to work in the United States.
Responsibilities:
- Develop engaging scripts for film, television, web series, commercials, and branded content.
- Write and refine dialogue, scene descriptions, and story arcs to enhance audience engagement.
- Collaborate with directors, producers, and creative teams to align scripts with project vision and objectives.
- Research to ensure authenticity and accuracy in storytelling.
- Revise and edit scripts based on feedback from stakeholders.
- Meet deadlines while juggling multiple projects.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in script writing for film, TV, or digital media.
- Strong ability to develop compelling narratives and engaging dialogue.
- Experience writing in multiple genres and adapting scripts for different platforms.
- Knowledge of screenplay formatting and industry-standard writing software (e.g., Final Draft, Celtx, Fade In).
- Candidates must be based in West Hollywood, California, and authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience writing for streaming platforms, commercials, or branded content.
- Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced production environments.
- Familiarity with storyboarding and visual storytelling techniques.
- Strong time management and organization skills.
Compensation & Job Type:
- Freelance, Contract (Paid) – Compensation based on experience and project scope.
- Estimated Pay Range: $30 – $80 per hour, depending on expertise and project complexity.
