Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist – Digital Marketing Location: RemoteType: Independent Contractor CompensationHourly: $25–$35/hour, based on experience and scope of work Project-based: Available for larger initiatives or peak launch periods About the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to support our digital marketing agency across accounts, channels, and teams. This role is responsible for reviewing creative, copy, and technical elements of digital campaigns to ensure accuracy, consistency, compliance, and readiness for launch. This is a fast-paced, deadline-driven role requiring someone who can move quickly, prioritize effectively, and catch both obvious and nuanced issues before work goes live. The QA Specialist will work across the agency, partnering with creative, media, strategy, and account teams. Key ResponsibilitiesCreative & Copy QA Review digital assets for grammar, spelling, punctuation, formatting, and clarity Ensure messaging aligns with brand voice, tone, and client guidelines Identify creative inconsistencies such as layout issues, missing elements, or incorrect visuals Verify correct versions of copy and creative are being used across deliverables Technical & Functional QA Review links, URLs, and basic functionality to ensure assets route correctly Check UTM parameters, tracking links, and naming conventions for accuracy Flag potential tracking or implementation issues (e.g., pixels, events, or forms) Validate alignment between ads and landing pages Platform & Compliance Review Enforce client-specific brand guidelines (logos, colors, tone, claims) Ensure correct client assets are used and prevent cross-client errors Confirm final approvals match assets prepared for launch Workflow & Communication Clearly communicate issues, priorities, and suggested fixes to internal teams Distinguish between launch-blocking issues and non-blocking feedback Manage multiple reviews simultaneously while meeting deadlines Support peak launch periods with timely reviews and quick turnarounds Qualifications 2–5 years of experience in quality assurance, copy editing, proofreading, digital production, or a related role Experience reviewing digital marketing or advertising assets; agency experience is a plus Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify both creative and technical issues Comfort working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments Clear written communication skills and ability to provide concise, actionable feedback Self-directed, reliable, and comfortable working independently as a contractor Application Exercise As part of the application process, selected candidates may be asked to complete a short QA review exercise in order to move to the next stage of consideration. The exercise is designed to reflect real agency work and assess attention to detail, prioritization, and communication skills. The exercise is time-boxed and should take no more than 20–30 minutes to complete.
