Minimum qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience in demand planning, supply planning, or capacity planning.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience managing technical services/products.
  • Experience with supply chain management.
  • Experience with account management.
  • Experience creating process improvements.
  • Experience with IT systems/IT automation.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

The Cloud Capacity Management team is committed to optimizing the performance and cost efficiency of our cloud fleet. The team manages regional health for cloud data center regions to ensure optimal infrastructure health. The team also implements scaling and automation strategies to meet customer demands while optimizing business costs.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to ensure regional health while supporting customer capacity requests. This role will partner with teams across the organization to improve capacity planning processes and tools through technical projects and initiatives.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $126,000-$181,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Help to support the internal and external customers deploy technical capacity requests across GCP’s infrastructure. 
  • Serve as a primary or secondary owner for the different regions which require capacity management ensuring they meet customer experience and inventory efficiency goals. 
  • Build relationships with GCP Product and Engineering teams to better understand the technical stack in order to triage capacity requests and unblock GCP customers in a timely manner.
  • Influence product design to ensure capacity requirements are taken into account through the product life cycle.
  • Define and tune automation, metrics, tools, and processes to meet customer needs, while reducing inefficiency and toil for all stakeholders.
