Provide summary of role.We are seeking an experienced individual to join our team as a Product Marketing Manager. The ideal candidate will help to define how Summus is understood in the market and to equip our teams with messaging and assets that truly work.This role blends strategy and execution. You will shape positioning and narrative, and you will also build real, high-quality assets used in live sales and growth motions. You’ll work closely with Sales, Product, and Marketing to test, learn and iterate quickly. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes ownership, writes exceptionally well, and cares deeply about audience understanding and clarity. This is a fully remote position based on the West Coast (U.S. Pacific Time Zone).In this role you will own:Deep Messaging & Positioning: Develop clear, audience-centric messaging across key use cases and stages of the buyer journeySales Enablement: Create pitch decks, one-pagers, talk tracks, and proof points that Sales trusts and usesDeal Iteration: Partner closely with Sales to test assets in real conversations and improve them based on feedbackOutreach Messaging: Collaborate with SDRs and Growth teams to develop and validate outbound and partner messagingMarket Insight: Translate clinical and product complexity into simple, credible narratives grounded in real customer needsResponsibilitiesAn excellent writer who can communicate complex ideas with clarity and precisionDeeply audience-centric, with strong instincts for what different buyers need to hear and whenHighly collaborative and comfortable working closely with Sales, Product, and MarketingBias toward action, iteration, and learning through executionIdeally experienced in healthcare, benefits, or another high-trust industry, or excited to build that depth quicklyComfortable getting into the weeds of complex, judgment-driven problemsFluent in both strategy and execution, you define the story and build the assetsAI-proficient or eager to use modern tools to move faster and work smarterWhat Success Looks LikeSales uses your materials confidently and consistentlyMessaging is clear, consistent, and audience-appropriate across channelsAssets improve deal clarity and differentiationWork ships quickly, gets tested, and improves over timeCross-functional partners trust you as a thoughtful, collaborative PMM Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Journalism, Life Sciences, or a related field required; advanced degree a plus3+ of professional experience in Product Marketing, Go-To-Market, Sales Enablement, or a related roleProven experience owning messaging and positioning for complex products or services across the buyer journeyDemonstrated ability to create and iterate sales enablement assets, including pitch decks, one-pagers, talk tracks, and proof points used in active dealsStrong experience partnering closely with Sales, including incorporating real-time deal feedback into messaging and materialsExperience collaborating with SDR, Growth, Product, and Marketing teams on outbound, partner, and lifecycle messagingWorking knowledge of Salesforce, including opportunity stages, deal insights, and win/loss dataExperience with marketing automation platforms such as HubSpot or MarketoFamiliarity with sales enablement tools (e.g., Highspot, Seismic, Guru)Proficiency with standard productivity and collaboration tools (Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office)Experience using modern AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) to accelerate messaging, content creation, and researchIf you don’t check every box but see yourself contributing to our team of talented individuals, we want you to apply.
