Sentry has an opening on our team as a Product Manager. In this role you will oversee the development of or develop and introduce new or enhanced products and services in existing markets to strategically manage the product development lifecycle. Support and manage insurance product performance in market by leveraging analysis, insights across a variety of internal and external sources to conduct root cause analysis.Based on qualifications and experience of the selected candidate, this position can be filled as a Product Manager or a Senior Product Manager.This position will be located at our office in Madison, WI, Stevens Point, WI or Nashville, TN in a hybrid work model and is not a fully remote opportunity. For this position, Sentry does not offer employment to holders of F-1, J-1, and H-1 Visas. What You’ll DoAs a Product Manager, you will research solutions that inform recommended actions to improve profitability, growth and customer experience in support of annual profit and growth plans. Create insights from intelligence about customer, market and competitors for problem solving and proactively monitoring trends in the market. May specialize in product development and/or product management depending upon needs of the business area.Additionally you will:Oversee the development of specific strategies related to price, product and underwriting. Execute and deliver product initiatives that lead to profitability and growthCollaborate with subject matter experts and other company leaders to implement changes that enhance the customer experienceResearch the competition to develop opportunity and threat assessmentsDirects end-to-end life cycle of department and corporate initiativesOversees implementation of product changes in compliance with laws and regulationsDevelop and maintain strong technical expertise and knowledge within the product management teamOversee research and insight gathering and analysis including competitive intelligence, customer empathy, develop pricing models and analysis, and innovation methodologyDevelop customer product strategy including customer segmentation, roadmap development and maintenance of product backlog. Collaborate with product management for opportunity identification, enterprise service linkage, vendor management and researchExecute and oversee lean product innovation processes to test-and-validate product needs using minimum viable product and other conceptsDevelop and oversee process for launch of products, services and enhancements. Ensure overall compliance and financial viabilityIdentify and develop expansion strategy in partnership with appropriate distribution partners to increase exposure of product to appropriate new marketsWhat it TakesDemonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or serviceDemonstrated experience developing insurance product/line of business strategiesExtensive knowledge of leveraging customer, market, and competitor intelligenceExtensive knowledge and experience with lean innovation, agile or other development/innovation approachesExtensive knowledge of market research and marketplace and regulatory trendsExtensive knowledge and understanding of product design, pricing and product managementSolid knowledge and understanding of advanced financial and data analysis techniquesDemonstrated experience leading projects in product development and product managementDemonstrated experience with profit and loss accountabilityWhat You’ll ReceiveAt Sentry, your total rewards go beyond competitive compensation.
