Job Title: Product Manager - Mechatronics 


Department: Engineering


Annual Starting Salary: £45,000 (negotiable based on experience).

Responsible to: Chief Technical Officer


Job Purpose


Join our New Product Innovation team to streamline the manufacturing and delivery of groundbreaking products. You'll mitigate risks in early-stage projects, ensuring top-notch design for assembly, equipment specs, and processes.


Qualifications & Experience


  • Degree in Mechatronics Engineering or related field (advanced degree preferred).

  • Extensive experience as a Mechatronics Engineering Supervisor or Manager.

  • Preferably experienced in renewables, sustainability, or off-grid energy.

Main Responsibilities


  • Lead the Manufacturing Engineering team from design to delivery of new products.

  • Integrate manufacturing and assembly needs into product design to cut costs, boost quality, and shorten production times.

  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure design excellence and risk reduction.

  • Develop solutions that meet key KPIs: Cost, Technical Solution, and People Development.

  • Thrive in a dynamic environment to deliver timely, optimal solutions.

Additional Responsibilities


  • Drive upstream project development and technical product delivery.

  • Manage multiple projects, prioritising business needs and stakeholder management.

  • Review project progress, addressing risks for milestone reviews.

  • Resolve engineering problems with thorough testing and validation.

  • Develop processes and equipment specs for product assembly, testing, and delivery.

  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams.

  • Use disciplined engineering practices to deliver robust solutions on time.

  • Contribute to team and departmental initiatives for continuous improvement.
