DescriptionEssential Functions The following duties and responsibilities are essential functions as defined by the ADA, except where noted as "may." Product Strategy & Roadmap Define and own the product roadmap for microturbine systems and distributed energy solutions. Lead long-term product strategy for the U.S. market, incorporating customer needs, regulatory requirements, and commercial opportunities. Prioritize engineering change requests and product enhancements. Product Lifecycle Management Manage day-to-day product lifecycle questions and decisions. Oversee Bill of Materials (BOM) release and review processes. Ensure product documentation, manuals, and instructions are updated and compliant with U.S. standards. Support design, development, testing, launch, and continuous improvement activities. Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, controls, and systems engineering teams to guide product development. Coordinate with manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial teams to ensure product readiness and operational alignment. Provide product training for internal and external stakeholders. Market & Customer Insight Conduct market analysis and competitive benchmarking to inform product strategy and positioning. Translate customer requirements and market opportunities into detailed product specifications. Support pilot deployments, field validation, and customer feedback loops. May support pricing strategy, customer proposals, and technical sales efforts. New Product Development Define specific design targets, features, functions, and pricing. Provide fact-based insights and recommendations from market data. Support commercialization and scaling of new technologies. QualificationsEducation and Experience Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in product management, engineering, or technical commercial roles. Experience with power generation, turbomachinery, distributed energy, or industrial equipment. Strong understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems. Proven ability to manage complex hardware-based products through full lifecycle development. Preferred Bachelor’s degree or MBA. Experience with microturbine or gas turbine technologies. Familiarity with alternative fuels (hydrogen, biogas, syngas). Exposure to distributed energy systems, CHP, or grid-connected solutions. Experience with digital controls, monitoring systems, or industrial IoT platforms.   Skills, Competencies, and Abilities Strong technical and commercial acumen. Ability to integrate knowledge across electrical engineering, power electronics, gas turbine processes, turbomachinery, automation systems, and mechanical engineering. Understanding of U.S. power markets, including regulatory, commercial, and technical dynamics. Strategic thinking and big-picture orientation. Effective cross-functional communication and coordination. Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills. Organizational skills for managing documentation and product processes. Ability to translate technical concepts into business value. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
