We are currently looking for a Principal Data Product Manager in United States.This role is focused on driving the strategy, design, and implementation of critical business metrics that power data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will own the lifecycle of foundational data assets, translating business objectives into actionable data requirements and collaborating with technical teams to deliver accurate, reliable, and consistent key performance indicators (KPIs). The position involves working closely with senior stakeholders across multiple departments, ensuring metric definitions, governance, and reporting align with strategic goals. You will also provide thought leadership on data standards, promote organizational data literacy, and identify opportunities to improve processes. This is an opportunity to shape the organization’s data landscape while having a direct impact on business performance in a fully flexible, high-collaboration environment.Accountabilities:Define and govern core business metrics in collaboration with senior stakeholders across Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Engineering.Establish metric definitions, calculation methodologies, and data sources, maintaining comprehensive documentation and a centralized data dictionary.Translate business requirements into technical specifications, working with engineering and data teams to implement metrics and dashboards.Monitor and maintain accuracy of key metrics, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies or inconsistencies.Provide actionable insights through reporting and analysis, highlighting trends, opportunities, and risks for senior management.Communicate complex data concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, enabling informed decision-making.Promote data literacy and organizational awareness of foundational data assets and their implications.RequirementsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative or analytical field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics).5+ years of experience in data product management, data strategy, or analytics within software or consulting environments.Strong understanding of data platforms, data modeling, and enterprise analytics ecosystems (e.g., Snowflake, dbt).Familiarity with core business systems such as ERP and CRM, and ability to align metrics to software business models and KPIs.Proven experience in defining, implementing, and maintaining business-critical metrics.Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives.Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, flexible environment.Experience with financial transactions such as private equity buyouts or IPOs is a plus.BenefitsCompetitive US annualized base salary range: $152,000 – $228,000, with potential for bonus or other incentives.Fully flexible remote work options.Comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, vision).Retirement savings plans with matching contributions and employee stock purchase opportunities.Paid time off, parental leave, and family care benefits.Wellness programs, professional development support, and career growth opportunities.Inclusive and collaborative work environment with opportunities to influence key business outcomes.
