Physical Card / Board Game Designer (1+ year experience required) at Confidential

We are seeking a creative and passionate Tabletop/Card/Board Game Designer to join our dynamic team as a freelance contractor, on a per-project basis, to help create physical games (NOT video/digital games, though relevant digital experience that can translate to our mission statement might be considered).

In this role, you will be responsible for designing engaging gameplay experiences, developing game mechanics, and collaborating with others, ranging from artists to project managers, to bring our vision to life.

Our company's mission is to bring family, friends, and loved ones together through games that invoke conversation and connection. You will play a vital role in the game development process, ensuring that our games are not only fun but also technically sound, and which match our mission.

Duties

• Conceptualize and design innovative gameplay mechanics and features which align with our design philosophy of bringing people together and fostering conversation and connection.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including artists, writers, and editors to create cohesive game experiences.
• Develop and maintain design documentation that outlines game mechanics.
• Continually research to maintain a deep understanding of the end user, target market, and competitive landscape.
• Stay updated on industry trends to enhance game design.
• Ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
