A bit about the role:

Tether is seeking a Part-Time Freelance Writer for a long-term project. This role will be a key member of a team of creatives working with our Beauty client. You’ll be the writer for this ongoing project, crafting copy, participating in creative ideation and proofing materials developed for various platforms, from social, email and web to video, packaging, collateral and in-store — adhering to established brand voice guidelines across all work. You’ll participate in daily stand-ups to discuss priorities and workflow as well as in regular status meetings with stakeholders and their performance marketing agency.

This is a contract position with a hybrid schedule. While working on-site at the Tether studio on Tuesdays and Wednesdays is not required, it is encouraged to foster collaboration and alignment with the team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide concepts and copy that effectively respond to the briefed objectives
  • Brand voice continuity that aligns with the brand guidelines
  • Contribute to marketing theme concepts
  • Authoring marketing headlines, copy and product descriptions
  • Video concepts and scripts
  • Contribute to presentations and status meetings
  • Daily time sheet entries
  • Collaboration with the project managers, designers and CD

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, creative writing, journalism, advertising or related discipline.
  • 4+ years of experience in writing marketing copy and product copy for luxury consumer brands.
  • Excellent knowledge of English grammar/usage and relevant resources, as well as best practices for storytelling across a range of media.
  • Note: This role will be dedicated to one client up to 25 hours a week.

Compensation: $40 – $50 hourly DOE. Please note that this range reflects a reasonable estimate of the target compensation for this position.
