As Operations Lead, you’ll own the day-to-day running of the Ops team so the wider org can move faster with fewer bottlenecks. You’ll partner with stewards and team leads, and bring structure to people, hiring, finance, legal, and planning workflows. This role is for someone who likes turning chaos into clear systems, leading a small team, and having real impact.

What You’ll Do

  1. Lead and support the Ops team through clear expectations, regular feedback, and day-to-day coaching.
  2. Own core operations processes across people, hiring, finance, legal, and planning, keeping them reliable and on time.
  3. Design and maintain lightweight rhythms for planning, goal tracking, and project management across the org.
  4. Translate high-level direction from stewards into concrete plans, timelines, and responsibilities.
  5. Build and refine simple systems, docs, and workflows so recurring work becomes predictable and less person-dependent.
  6. Use cutting edge tools to track data, monitor progress, and inform decisions.

What We Look For

  1. Experience running or heavily owning operations in a startup, scale-up, or similarly ambiguous environment, including building or improving processes for people, hiring, or related ops areas.
  2. Comfort managing a small team while staying hands-on and close to the work.
  3. Proven ability to bring order and predictability to messy or under-defined work while consistently hitting deadlines, closing loops, and following through without heavy oversight.
  4. Demonstrated capacity to ramp quickly on new domains and tools and deliver value early, especially in support of internal teams as primary stakeholders.
  5. Clear, honest communication with leaders and ICs, paired with a low-ego, low-politics style that builds trust across different personalities.

Who you are:

  1. At least 3–5 years in operations or adjacent roles, including meaningful time in leadership or people management.
  2. Proven experience leading or directly managing a small team.
  3. Strong analytical skills with comfort using cutting edge technology for tracking and decision-making.
  4. Demonstrated ability to design and run planning, goal-tracking, or project management systems.
  5. High attention to detail and clear written and verbal communication.
  6. Comfortable reporting to a steward and operating with influence rather than title.

Nice-to-haves

  1. Technical background (e.g., engineering or technical IC experience).
  2. Experience in people ops, recruiting operations, finance, or legal coordination.
  3. Prior work in founder-led, steward-led, or otherwise complex internal org structures.
  4. Familiarity with crypto, web3, or decentralized organizations.
