Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in network planning, engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in leadership roles.
  • 4 years of experience in managing projects.
  • Experience with network infrastructure components and technologies, including data centers, fiber optics, and Internet Protocol (IP) networking.
  • Experience in developing and implementing network infrastructure plans.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience in managing cross-functional/team projects.
  • 3 years of experience in people management.
  • Experience with working in a global organization with stakeholders.
  • Experience in network optimization, capacity planning, and cost modeling.
  • Experience in driving innovation and providing results.
  • Excellent investigative, problem-solving, and decision-making and communication skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute network infrastructure and capacity plans for the Asia Pacific Region, aligning with Google's network roadmap and business goals.
  • Identify and drive initiatives to optimize the network for scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency. Utilize data analysis and modeling to forecast future demands and identify areas for optimization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across various functions, including Network Engineering, Product Management, and Network Architecture. Identify tests and opportunities within the network infrastructure to develop solutions.
  • Maintain technical expertise by staying up-to-date with the latest network technologies and industry trends.
  • Articulate planning strategies, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders, including executive leadership.
