*Pay Rate: $60-$70 /hr. on W2 with benefits*

*Summary: *

We are seeking a GKE Engineer to join our Cloud Architecture and Cloud Platforms team at a leading Fortune 50 healthcare organization. In this role, you will be involved end-to-end in every step of the journey, from developing and deploying the platform to maintaining, automating, and optimizing it. As the company transitions from a predominantly Microsoft-based environment to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), you will play a pivotal role in guiding this Cloud 3.0 migration and supporting ongoing platform operations.

The platform has been launched, and now the focus shifts to onboarding teams and customers (internal teams) to ensure full utilization of GCP and the platform. You will be responsible for driving automation, improving security posture, and continuously enhancing platform performance. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong technical expertise and a passion for continuous improvement, as you will help shape and optimize the platform's growth and success.

*Responsibilities:*
* Managing and monitoring cloud networks, systems, and applications using advanced tools and software to guarantee optimal cloud environment performance.
* Orchestrating and automating the provisioning of resources using GKE to meet evolving business needs.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure system performance and security.
* Understanding and implementing department and organizational strategies, aligning cloud solutions with company objectives.
* Analyzing cloud infrastructure to optimize efficiency, continuity, and scalability.
* Occasionally making decisions in ambiguous situations with minimal supervision, while adhering to established guidelines and procedures.

*Required Qualifications:*
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
* Less than 5 years of relevant technical experience in cloud technologies (GCP and GKE).
* Experience with containerization (Kubernetes, Docker), and container orchestration on GKE.
* Familiarity with cloud automation and infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
* A passion for contributing to a mission-driven organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.
* Problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in team environments.
* Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.

*Preferred Qualifications*:
* Experience in the healthcare industry or other regulated industries.
* Certification in Google Cloud or Kubernetes technologies.
* Familiarity with Chainguard or similar container security solutions.
* Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools.
