Freelance Writer at The Follow Up

We are looking for a writer to help with writing and curating a weekly newsletter here in Wilmington, NC.

We are a fast-growing local newsletter with 7K+ weekly readers and a growing social media.

This role will likely require 2-5 hours per week and is flexible on time and location.

Responsibilities will include:

• Researching local events.
• Researching local news stories.
• Curating events and news into a newsletter.
• Writing newsletter sections for the email.
• Occasional graphic work in Canva.
• Collaborate with team members to develop content strategies.
• Proofreading and editing

The ideal candidate is a self-starter, a great writer, and interested/familiar with Wilmington events and restaurants.

We are a startup looking for someone who is excited to help us grow into a household name in Wilmington. As we grow, there will be many opportunities to take on new roles and responsibilities.

Job Types: Part-time, Internship

Pay: $21.97 - $23.50 per hour
