Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and versatile Freelance Writer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to create engaging content across various platforms, including articles, blogs, and marketing materials. This role requires that you ATTEND/ATTENDED an HBCU, you have excellent research skills, creativity, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences. As a Freelance Writer, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects that challenge your writing abilities and expand your portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality written content that meets project requirements and deadlines.
• Conduct thorough research to ensure accuracy and depth in all writing assignments.
• Write, edit, and proofread articles, blog posts, and other written materials.
• Collaborate with clients or team members to understand project goals and expectations.
• Fact-check information to maintain credibility and reliability in all published work.
• Develop proposals for new writing projects as needed.
• Utilize word processing software efficiently to create and format documents.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding project updates and feedback.

Qualifications

• HBCU student, HBCU grad student, HBCU graduate students ONLY
• Proven experience in creative writing, journalism, or related fields.
• Strong proposal writing skills with the ability to pitch ideas effectively.
• Excellent research abilities to gather relevant information for various topics.
• Proficient in word processing software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Google Docs).
• Exceptional proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to write clearly and concisely while maintaining an engaging tone.
• Familiarity with fact-checking processes to ensure content accuracy.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
