We are looking for a Freelance Writer to join our editorial team. In this position, you will receive article assignments from our editor, research the topic, and write a strong article that follows basic SEO guidelines. This is a deadline-driven job, so you should be well organized and have excellent time management skills.

Since this is a freelance position, we will pay you per word. Our ideal applicant has several years of writing experience and a portfolio that demonstrates excellence in your craft. While formal education isn't necessary, a bachelor's degree in engineering or creative writing would be great!

Job Responsibilities

Freelance Writer’s responsibilities include conducting thorough research on industry-related topics, generating ideas for new content types, and proofreading articles before publication. If you’re familiar with producing online content and have an eye for detail, we’d like to meet you. Feel free to share samples of your work or portfolio of your published articles, along with your application.

Ultimately, you’ll deliver quality writing pieces that appeal to our audiences, attract customers and boost brand awareness. A full list of the responsibilities are as follows:

• Write content for company web pages and blog
• Collaborate with other team members to develop content
• Research industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews and studies)
• Submit work to editors for input and approval
• Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic
• Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics
• Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone)
• Brainstorm with the editorial team for new ideas and strategies for effective content
• Research markets and industries to create content that is innovative and original
• Develop copy on a wide variety of topics for multiple platforms (such as websites, blogs, articles, and social media)
• Create eye-catching and innovative headlines

You’ll need:

• Proven work experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter, or similar role
• Portfolio of published articles
• Experience doing research using multiple sources
• Familiarity with web publications
• Excellent writing and editing skills in English
• Ability to meet deadlines

Job Types: Part-time, Contract
