Position: Freelance Proofreader/Copy Editor (Magazine Editor)

Location: HYBRID - Nashville, TN 37243
Pay Rate: OPEN - MARKET RATE

This role is mostly REMOTE, but we ideally want to find someone who lives locally or in the same time zone.

HOURS: MON-FRI 8AM - 4:30 PM

Freelance Proofreader/Copy Editor for a Conservationist magazine.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Every two months, proofread and copy edit the 44-page magazine in InDesign for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and AP style.
• Proofread various marketing materials on an as-needed basis. These will include brochures, flyers, menus, trail maps, and other promotional/informational materials.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Must provide a link to your portfolio showcasing brochures, menus, flyers, maps, or other promotional materials you have created
• Must reside locally or within the Central Standard Time (CST) states.
• Must be available to work a minimum of 35 hours per week for the first two months, then on an as-needed basis thereafter.
