Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate and strategic freelance Marketing Content Manager to help share Hillside’s story, elevate our digital presence, and amplify our impact. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of creative storytelling, digital marketing expertise, and project management skills to create compelling content that resonates with diverse audiences, including families, educators, donors, and community partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Develop engaging content for Hillside’s website, social media platforms, email newsletters, blog, and print materials to promote events, campaigns, and organizational milestones.
- Social Media Management: Create and schedule posts across platforms, engage with the community, and monitor analytics to optimize content strategies.
- Campaign Support: Collaborate on fundraising and community engagement campaigns, ensuring messaging aligns with Hillside’s brand and mission.
- Website Updates: Maintain and update website content to reflect current programs, events, and resources.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure all content aligns with Hillside’s tone, voice, and visual identity.
- Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyze content performance, providing actionable insights to improve engagement and reach.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or content creation, preferably in education or nonprofit sectors.
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Proficiency with social media platforms, scheduling tools, and analytics.
- Familiarity with website management (e.g., WordPress) and email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp).
- Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) are a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Passion for education and understanding of dyslexia or learning differences is a bonus.
Compensation
Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience.
