Position Summary

  • Noel & Co. is looking for a Marketing Assistant that is currently strong in operations and project management and is seeking an opportunity to broaden their marketing expertise and experience.
  • The ideal candidate is a critical thinker, learns technology and systems quickly, has experience using qualitative and/or quantitative research to make decisions, is obsessed with attention to detail, and is excited to create and edit marketing content.
  • Noel & Co. is a marketing & strategy consultancy that specializes in creating research-informed marketing strategies and providing fractional marketing leadership to drive sustainable growth.
  • Your work will include:
  • B2B (business-to-business) marketing - working to analyze internal and external market research, create and edit marketing content including videos, emails, social media content, blogs, and research reports.
  • B2C (business-to-customer) marketing - developing email and SMS content and exploring opportunities to A/B test and optimize their marketing strategies.
  • This role will start out on a project-by-project, freelance (1099) basis. Currently, for February and March 2025 we estimate we need 20-30 hours per month (5-10 hours/week) in support of two different client projects. However, there will be opportunities for growth and more work with high performance.
  • While many parts of this role can be done remotely, we’re hoping to find someone local to the Triangle region of NC who is available to meet in person 1x / week to have strategic meetings, collaborate on content creation, and co-work.

Job Duties

As a Marketing Assistant at Noel & Co. you will work with the CEO on the following:

1. Developing research-informed marketing strategies, which includes:

  • Reviewing market research interviews and analyzing them for key insights and takeaways for our clients.
  • Collaborating with the Noel & Co. team to identify the ideal market positioning and messaging for clients.
  • Collaborating with Noel & Co. team on marketing strategy and content prioritization

2. Creating and editing marketing content, which may include:

  • Capturing and editing video content
  • Developing Research Reports
  • Drafting Social media content
  • Email and SMS marketing
  • Writing blogs

3. Provide administrative support as needed - drafting emails, drafting presentations, sending out invoices, scheduling meetings, etc.

4. Being well-informed on current marketing and industry trends, including comfort exploring new technologies and integrations to elevate our client’s marketing strategy and impact.

Job Requirements

These are skills or experience that you applicants must have in order to be considered for the position:

  • 1+ years of experience with content creation
  • Experience using Canva, GSuite, Microsoft, Video editing software, and Social media websites (LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube)
  • Must be able to multitask and work well under pressure
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and comfortable in collaborating with a team
  • The ability to create and edit marketing deliverables for Noel & Co. clients
  • High standard of excellence, accuracy and consistency, personal integrity, and accountability.
  • The ability to both work remotely and meet in person in the Triangle area 1x per week

Experience with Microsoft software, Adobe products, Loomly, and/or Notion is fantastic, but not required.

  • You’re a high achiever who has a track record of consistently meeting deadlines.
  • You’re known for having a high attention to detail and before finishing a project you make sure you’ve dotted your i’s, crossed your t’s, and eliminated typos.
  • In addition to diving into the details, you’re also able to still balance the impact of tasks vs. the effort you put in - i.e. you’re able to keep the ‘big picture’ in mind and work effectively.
  • You have strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently.
  • You enjoy collaborating with a team to develop content or strategy ideas.
  • You’re comfortable asking for help and sharing projects in draft form versus getting stuck on a task.
  • You have the ability to manage projects and reprioritize tasks, as needed. As part of a small team you will be managing multiple projects and responsibilities at once.

Compensation

The starting rate for this role is $25/ hour.
