Freelance Content Writer at Proximity Marketing Corporation

As a digital marketing agency, Proximity Marketing is charged with increasing the online visibility of our client businesses. Many of the strategies we execute rely on excellent storytelling and compelling messaging.

We are looking for an organized, creative freelance writer who is passionate about content development and the role it plays in a digital marketing strategy. Writers have the opportunity of taking on 10-25 hours per week depending on their availability and capacity. The candidate must have availability during our business hours (M-F, 8-5:00) to accommodate content interviews.

The Content Marketing Writer is responsible for developing and implementing a variety of digital content, including longer-form guides, website copy, blog articles, email and social media posts. The writer works closely with the strategy and SEO teams to shape content topics and their purpose. Serving clients in various industries, both B-to-B and B-to-C, a successful candidate will be skilled in writing clean, succinct copy that communicates value.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create content that positions our clients as the authority in their respective industries, while aiming to attract, nurture, and convert qualified leads
• Analyze information from internal and third-party sources to gather trends and relevant stories
• Capture source material from interviews with clients and subject matter experts to convert into meaningful stories

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent work experience, preferably in Marketing-related content writing.
• 3+ years of writing experience, ideally in a Marketing setting
• Technical/manufacturing writing experience a plus
• Solid portfolio with incredible content and measurable results
• Strong, emotion-invoking storytelling skills translatable across many mediums
• Capacity to balance, prioritize and deliver excellent results under tight deadlines
• Must provide content and/or writing samples during in-person interview
• Search Engine Optimization a plus
• Ability to attend client visits/meetings in-person a plus
