Freelance Associate Designer - Woven Products & Seasonal Development
Short-term Contract
Cult Gaia is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Freelance Associate Designer/Designer with a passion for innovation in woven products and specialty embellishments. This role will work closely with our in-house design team to bring seasonal collections to life during development stage
Dates: October 23rd - November 26th
Per week: 4 days per week would be idea
Key Responsibilities:
- Woven Product Development: Collaborate with the design team on seasonal development of woven products, creating detailed tech packs, drapes, and construction details.
- Specialty Embellishment & Embroidery: Assist in the creation of embellishment and embroidery artwork for seasonal heirloom pieces
- Hardware & Novelty Fabrics: Participate in the development of woven hardware trims, novelty fabrics, and print artwork that reflect our brand’s identity.
- Color & Concept Creation: Contribute to fabric and artwork creating in line with season collection concepts.
- CAD Creation: Develop color CADs, work through development charts, and produce line sheets, ensuring all elements align and are accurate with seasonal direction.
- Product Development Support: Maintain and upkeep product logs, line sheets, and presentation boards to ensure smooth product execution and delivery.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
- Strong understanding of woven construction, fabrics, and hardware trim design.
- Ability to produce highly detailed CADs, tech packs, spec sheets, and layouts
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Passion for design innovation and an eye for seasonal trends.
