Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Business or Project Management, Engineering, Economics, other related fields, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in construction estimating.
  • 10 years of experience in construction including but not limited to: semiconductor, petro-chems, oil and gas, pulp and paper, HP Data Centers, wastewater plants, office building complexes.
  • 7 years of experience as an estimating lead.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certified Professional Estimator through American Society of Professional Estimators or Chartered Surveyor through Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
  • Understanding of the Request for Proposal (RFP) Bid Process, people manager, managing third parties, project schedules, value engineering, cost control, project management, estimating principles, spreadsheets, slides and other tools for developing and communicating Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $221,000-$311,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the assignment of the estimating team members on each project and set expectations for turnaround time and quality. This includes internal estimators and third-party estimators.
  • Work directly with construction project managers and design teams to deliver base line estimates and localized estimates for Google Data Centers.
  • Develop cost models for multiple project types to quickly and accurately provide cost guidance for what-If scenarios, gaming studies, and conceptual designs.
  • Ensure the internal cost database is kept current and historical cost is collected per requirements.
  • Support value engineering and assists in defining a pathway to achieving the goal estimates via scope and specification assumptions.
