Director of Sales-TownePlace Suites O’FallonDescription:
Generation of top-line revenue and RevPAR for the Complex through successful selling strategies.Responsibilities:· Develop sales action plans and forecast and evaluate trends to modify strategies that will enhance revenues effectively.· Ensure hotel participation in all brand revenue management initiatives.· Contribute to property revenue meetings always insuring revenue maximization and profit in all areas.· Articulate and leverage the benefits of the hotel to close sales opportunities· Solicit and negotiate business with new and existing clients through daily prospecting, outside sales calls, e-communications, telemarketing, referrals, site tours, and networking.· Timely submission of required reports to General Managers, Corporate Director of Hotel Operations.· Maintain a great rapport with the local Chamber of Commerce, Military and Gov’t Contractors, and companies doing business within the O’Fallon market.· Develop and maintain a working relationship with Marriott Global Sales Office.· Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify business opportunities and opportunities for improvement and innovation.· Ensure that team members (specifically Front Desk staff) are familiar with key accounts and specifics relating to business booked within the hotels.· Ascertain that hotel credit procedures are followed.· Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by the Corporate Leadership.Qualifications:· Two or more years of experience as a Senior Sales Manager, Assistant Director of Sales, or Director of Sales· 5 years of Hospitality Management experience or more preferred· Front Desk experience preferred but not required· Marriott experience preferred· Local market knowledge and experience preferred· High school diploma or equivalent required· Hospitality/Business/or Marketing Degree preferred· Strong interpersonal skills/a team player needed· Solid understanding of Revenue Management Principles
