Crypto is one of the most dynamic and rapidly evolving areas at Robinhood, playing a critical role in our long-term strategy. We're seeking a Director of Design to lead design across this space, driving high-impact work that defines the future of crypto at Robinhood. This is a senior leadership role with broad influence across product, strategy, and execution. You'll partner with cross-functional leaders to shape the vision, elevate design craft, and scale a high-performing team.

It is preferred that this role is located in one of the office locations listed on this job description which will align with our in-office working environment. This position is only eligible for remote work in limited geographies within the US where we do not have physical office locations. What you’ll do

1. Lead, scale, and structure the crypto product design team, spanning both product and content design
2. Drive a high bar for design craft and user experience across all crypto initiatives
3. Partner closely with senior cross-functional stakeholders to shape strategy and execution
4. Define and communicate a clear design vision that aligns with broader company goals
5. Stay closely connected to the day-to-day of design execution while empowering the team to thrive
6. Attract, retain, and grow world-class design talent

What you bring

1. Deep expertise in crypto and a clear perspective on how design can shape innovative, user-centered product experiences in this space
2. Proven success in leading design at the Director level or equivalent in high-growth, product-led organizations
3. Strong cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to influence and partner at the executive level
4. A thoughtful and assertive leadership style—comfortable challenging opinions while championing the team
5. Relentless attention to detail and a passion for exceptional design craft
6. Experience growing and managing multidisciplinary design teams

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood’s equity plan. $224,000 - $264,000 USD
