Collectively, TP ICAP is the largest interdealer broker in the world by revenue, the number one Energy & Commodities broker in the world, the world’s leading provider of OTC data, and an award winning all-to-all trading platform.The Group operates from more than 60 offices in 27 countries.  We are 5,300 people strong.  We work as one to achieve our vision of being the world’s most trusted, innovative, liquidity and data solutions specialist.Role OverviewThe DevOps Engineer will be leading the development and adoption of automated software and Infrastructure delivery for TP ICAP’s platformsThe role requires a business minded, highly collaborative, team-focused DevSecOps engineer with exceptional communication skills to work with developers in DevOps principles. Role ResponsibilitiesSupport the business in adopting processes and techniques to support an agile delivery modelWork with architects, developers, testers and operations to automate builds, deployment and release of applications running on-premise and cloudEngineer tooling required for CI/CD and observability to provide guidance on industry best practices for software deployment and developmentAssist and architect where appropriate Microservices using containerisation and serverless technologiesBe the key automation driver for Environment management, logging and monitoringEngage with vendors and service providers to build strong relationships that can be leveraged by directly influencing products and services in the interest of the company, enabling the negotiation of favourable terms and extracting the best possible use of external resourcesTo fulfil any additional / ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.Experience / CompetencesEssentialDeep and broad experience of AWS Cloud platform and services and ‘DevOps’ principles in generalPlatforms; Windows Server, Amazon Linux, RHEL, UbuntuProgramming language, proficiency in one of the following along with a working knowledge on the other, C# (.NET Framework/Core), Python, Java, JavaScript (Node.js), Ruby, C++Proficiency in at least one of the following scripting languages; Python, GO, PowerShell, Bash, GroovyDeveloper tooling; Full stack CI/CD, GitLab, Jenkins, CloudBees, Sonatype NexusKnowledge and working experience of containerising application components including writing DockerFiles and container deployment manifests in EKSDeep understanding of pipelines as codeOpensearch, Cribl, Logstash, Kibana, Fluentbit, Grafana, CloudWatchExperience of working with agile teamsDesiredUnderstands ideas and has a viewpoint on the markets and economyAbility to collaborate with stakeholders outside of the immediate department ‘to get the job done’Excellent attention to detail, highly organised with a proactive approachShows evidence of being comfortable working in fast paced or pressured environmentsJob Band & Level: Professional, 5Not The Perfect Fit?Concerned that you may not meet the criteria precisely?
