Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable CI/CD pipelines to enhance development workflows.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
- Enhance and maintain container orchestration systems, focusing on Kubernetes.
- Implement robust security and compliance measures, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Monitor system performance and reliability using advanced monitoring tools and log aggregation systems.
- Automate deployment processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Manage database operations, including scaling and performance tuning.
- Implement disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity.
- Coordinate with development teams to address and anticipate infrastructure needs.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all systems and processes.
- Contribute to open-source projects or internal tool development as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience with AWS and Azure, with a proven track record in managing cloud environments.
- Expertise in Docker and Kubernetes, with hands-on experience in deploying and managing containerized applications.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash for automation tasks.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly Terraform.
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and their application in cloud environments.
- Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
- 5+ years of experience required in a Software Engineering role within a software setting.
- Familiarity with the tech community and resources in the Encinitas area.
- Ability to work on-site in Encinitas with occasional remote work flexibility.
