Our client is in need of an experienced database conversion candidate.

Must be experienced in data mining and ETL. Preferably in a healthcare environment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

The statements below describe the essential duties of the person or persons assigned to this job. They are not intended as an exhaustive list of all job duties and responsibilities.

1. Managing the entire cycle of healthcare database conversions, including analysis, design, specification, implementation, go-live, and support

2. Working closely with application teams, subject matter experts, and third-party application experts to determine the business needs for data conversions, document the requirements, and configure the interfaces per the requirements. Working with this group to diagnose and resolve data-related issues, and participating in their projects as needed.

3. Coordinating various healthcare data-specific tasks and activities like testing, build, cutover planning, and go-live by engaging subject matter experts, vendors, and interface engine developers

4. Working with data-translation routines and methods to support Epic's and external systems' data and format needs

5. Driving the conversion effort projects, working with the Information Services manager to ensure that results are achieved and deadlines are met

Minimum Knowledge and Skills

· Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts typically acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.

· Work requires the analytical skills to resolve highly complex problems requiring the application of clinical, scientific or technical principles, theories and concepts and in‑depth, cross‑functional experienced‑based knowledge.

· Work requires communication skills in order to effectively deal with conflicting views or issues and mediate fair solutions, or well‑developed writing skills.

· Work requires experience with Electronic Health Records, Practice Management Systems and other ambulatory clinical software and applications.

· Experience working with process owners and users in gathering requirements, creating specs, system design, and application design

· Experience in Healthcare Information Systems, Application Support, IT or Clinical experience using the Epic EMR

· Experience working with process owners and users in gathering requirements, creating specs, system design, data flow, and application design

· Four plus years of related work experience and minimum 2 years of implementation experience as a healthcare data conversion specialist.

· Epic’s Bridges Interface Certification a plus.
