If you think shopping should be fun (and not end with you sobbing in a dressing room), you might be Betches’ next Fashion & Beauty Freelance Content Manager!

Betches Media is looking for a sharp, creative social media creator to run our Good at Shopping Instagram account. Your mission? Make fashion and beauty approachable, stress-free, and actually useful — all while keeping it funny as fuck.

We’re looking for someone who’s as obsessed with discovering beauty dupes as they are with creating hilarious video content that connects. You’ll need on-camera experience, video production skills (ideating, filming, editing), and a voice that feels authentic to the Betches brand.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver 2-3 short-form videos (Reels/TikToks) per week that showcase honest, relatable shopping moments, product reviews, or fashion/beauty tips — capturing attention, engaging the audience, and aligning with the Good at Shopping mission of making shopping stress-free, fun, and helpful
• Support larger initiatives, such as branded campaigns or team collaborations, by contributing creative input and assisting with video-related tasks like editing, filming, or storyboarding
• Roast impractical trends, share relatable shopping moments, and create product reviews that actually help
• Curate and craft no-BS fashion and beauty content that feels like advice from your funniest (and smartest) friend
• Work with teams across video, web, marketing, and affiliate to ensure every video post nails the Betches voice and style
• Occasionally come into the NYC office to collaborate with the team, assist with filming, or participate in brainstorming sessions

Qualifications

• Comfortable and confident on camera, with the ability to create engaging, relatable, and humorous video content
• Proficient in ideating, filming, and editing short-form videos (Reels/TikToks) with a sharp eye for detail and a strong sense of pacing
• Proven experience running social media accounts, particularly Instagram and TikTok, with a deep understanding of trends, audience engagement, and platform best practices
• Ability to generate original content ideas that align with the Good at Shopping mission, while also adapting quickly to new trends and shifting brand needs
• Strong understanding of the Betches tone and the ability to communicate in a way that’s funny, smart, and resonates with our audience
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines while juggling multiple video projects
• Ability to work cross-functionally with teams such as video, marketing, and branded content to ensure cohesion across campaigns
• Passionate about fashion, beauty, and shopping, with a genuine interest in discovering trends, products, and tips that benefit the audience
• Willingness to occasionally come into the NYC office for filming, collaboration, or brainstorming sessions
• Established connections with influencers, brands, or content creators in the fashion and beauty space is a plus
