Job Summary:Ascot’s U.S. Insurance business unit is seeking a proactive, hands‑on Business Intelligence Product Manager, U.S. Claims & Actuarial to own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of BI and insights products supporting U.S. Claims, Actuarial, and related business areas. This is an individual contributor role requiring strong ownership, adaptability, and the ability to operate effectively across business, data, and technology.This role is responsible not only for building BI products, but also for owning stakeholder communication, change management, and adoption. The successful candidate will work directly with business users to define requirements, partner with data and BI teams to assess data availability and quality, deliver BI solutions (primarily Power BI dashboards), and ensure users are enabled to confidently use and trust the data as analytics maturity continues to grow. This role will work on a hybrid schedule in the office. Responsibilities: Own the full lifecycle of BI products for U.S. Claims and Actuarial domains—from requirements through delivery, communication, and adoptionPartner directly with Claims and Actuarial stakeholders to understand business needs, define requirements, and prioritize use casesWork closely with Data Engineering, BI Developer, and system / platform teams to assess data availability, readiness, and gaps across systems and the data lifecycleDesign, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports, ensuring accuracy, usability, and scalabilityOwn communication and change management for BI products, including release messaging, stakeholder updates, and expectation settingEnable and train business users on BI products and self‑service analytics, driving adoption and effective usageAct as a hands‑on problem solver to troubleshoot data issues, triage data quality problems, and coordinate resolution across Data, Systems, and Data Governance teamsCollaborate with Data Governance to ensure consistent definitions, quality standards, and trusted metricsSupport and contribute to BI initiatives beyond Claims and Actuarial as priorities evolveMaintain clear ownership of backlog, priorities, and delivery outcomes in a fast‑moving environmentServe as a connector across business, BI, data, systems, and governance—wearing multiple hats to help the business access trusted data more independentlyAssist with ad hoc projects as needed and contribute to a collaborative, high‑performing culture aligned with The Ascot Way Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal educationA minimum of 7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Data Product roles, preferably within P&C insuranceProven experience owning and delivering BI products end‑to‑end, including requirements gathering, dashboard development, user enablement, and change managementExperience working directly with Claims and/or Actuarial data and stakeholdersFamiliarity with modern data and analytics platforms, including Azure, Databricks, and enterprise BI tools (e.g., Power BI)Strong understanding of data concepts such as data quality, lineage, and cross‑system dependenciesHighly proactive, self‑directed, and comfortable operating with ambiguityStrong ownership mindset with the ability to roll up sleeves and drive outcomesExcellent problem‑solving, prioritization, and decision‑making skillsStrong communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and business audiencesProven ability to collaborate effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑centric environmentProficient in Microsoft Office and modern analytics tooling **This role can be filled at a different level, depending on experience.** Compensation: Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, and skills. The base pay is just one component of Ascot’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and other forms of discretionary compensation awarded by the Company.
