This internship is intended for students in their penultimate academic year, who are pursuing a Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

Join us for a unique 12-14 week paid internship that offers personal and professional development, an executive speaker series, and community-building. Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily. As a Business Intelligence Intern, you will work together with a highly skilled team with the mission of helping the business deliver meaningful and impactful change to the public sector. You will own strategic initiatives that include assessing market opportunities, developing Go-to-Market strategies and informing the associated business planning processes for our US Public Sector Team.

Must be a US Citizen to meet customer and compliance requirements, including potential access to classified information.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or post secondary or training experience with a focus on subjects in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in Business Intelligence or Data Analytics.
  • Experience in SQL or Data Visualization (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, or similar technologies).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Currently attending a degree program in the US and available to work full time for 12-14 weeks outside of university term time.
  • Penultimate academic year or returning to a degree program after completion of the internship.
  • Experience with data warehousing or data modeling concepts.
  • Experience with translating business requirements to BI solutions.
  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Python, or R).

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $88,000-$117,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Create and support a productive and innovative team including working with peers, managers, and teams.
  • Design business intelligence solutions and infrastructure to facilitate data gathering, storage, and retrieval with some guidance.
  • Develop reports, queries, and dashboards that access and consolidate information from a variety of data sources with some guidance.
  • Develop data models to assist in the visualization and interpretation of data.
