Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in an analyst or insights role in a business context.
  • 2 years of experience developing business strategies or managing cross-functional initiatives.
  • 2 years of experience in statistical problem-solving and analyzing data sets using SQL or comparable coding language (e.g., Python, R, Java, C++).
  • Experience working with executive stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders across organizational boundaries.
  • Experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, or a digital media environment for an organization.
  • Experience with controlled experiments, causal studies, and communicating results to non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to take ambiguous topics and turn them into compelling narratives for different audiences.

Within Google Customer Solutions (GCS), the Product and Sales Activation (PSA) team is responsible for performance and brand solutions for Small and Medium Businesses (SMB) advertisers around the world, from large mid-market companies to local mom and pop shops. We are the product and business experts behind the thousands of Google Cloud Solution (GCS) Googlers that are responsible for driving sustainable business growth and product adoption. We identify opportunities through analysis, build consensus with stakeholders, and program manage cross-functional teams to drive GCS advertiser success and business growth.

In this role, as an Business Analyst, you will partner with PSA to provide business critical insights using analytics, ensuring cross-functional alignment of goals, execution, and helping teams drive new initiatives forward. In addition, you'll combine investigative and thought leadership to drive improvements across customer segmentation, data gathering and analysis, automated reporting and dashboard design to drive business intelligence.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $118,000-$170,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Identify key growth and sustainability opportunities for GCS across various points of the customer lifecycle (Search, Measurement, Video).
  • Work with large data sets. Solve investigative problems, applying advanced investigative methods as needed. Conduct analysis that includes problem formulation, experiment design, data gathering, analysis, deliverable creation, and presentation.
  • Make business recommendations via presentations that effectively translate technical work to business partners and executives through synthesized analyses and visual storytelling.
  • Develop and automate reports, iteratively build and prototype dashboards to help with reporting and investigative needs of the team and key stakeholders.
  • Engage in ad-hoc analyses to understand business performance/user metrics and provide concise summaries and recommendations to management.
