Blockchain Engineer

Role Overview

Keras Labs is seeking a high-performing Blockchain Engineer to design, build, and scale smart contract systems for a hybrid AMM + perpetual trading platform powered by AI agents.

This role also includes building and deploying standard token contracts (ERC20/BEP20) and supporting core on-chain infrastructure in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.

Core Responsibilities

1. Build and maintain smart contracts (Solidity / Rust)
2. Develop and deploy ERC20 / BEP20 (or equivalent EVM) tokens
3. Implement token logic (minting, burning, access control)
4. Build core protocol modules (liquidity, trading, vaults)
5. Integrate price oracles and on-chain data sources
6. Optimize contracts for gas efficiency and performance
7. Collaborate with frontend, product, and research teams
8. Support testing, audits, and deployment workflows
9. Monitor protocol performance and on-chain activity

Requirements

1. Strong proficiency in Solidity (EVM) and/or Rust
2. Experience deploying ERC20 / BEP20 or similar token standards
3. Familiarity with smart contract testing (Foundry, Hardhat)
4. Understanding of contract security best practices
5. Strong system design and problem-solving skills
6. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote environment

Nice to Have

1. Experience with DeFi protocols (DEX, perps, lending)
2. Understanding of AMM models and perpetual mechanics
3. Experience building trading systems or financial primitives
4. Experience with oracles (Chainlink, Pyth, etc.)
5. Exposure to AI agents or automated trading systems
6. Open-source contributions in Web3 / DeFi
