Associate Director - Design

As the Associate Director of Product Design, you will play a critical role in shaping the design vision and strategy for our products. You will lead a team of talented designers, foster a culture of creativity and innovation, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to create outstanding user experiences. Your expertise and leadership will drive the success of our product design efforts.

What you will do :

1. Lead and mentor a team of product designers, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative and creative work environment
2. Work closely with the leadership to define and execute the design vision, strategy, and goals for the organization
3. Oversee the design process from concept to execution, ensuring the development of user-centered, visually appealing, and functional product designs.
4. Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align design efforts with overall product goals and timelines
5. Utilize user research and feedback to inform design decisions and ensure a user-centric approach
6. Maintain high design standards and drive continuous improvement in design quality and innovation
7. Manage multiple design projects, set priorities, and allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines
8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, design tools, and technologies to ensure the design team is using the best available resources

 

What you should have :

1. Bachelor's degree in Design, Graphic Design, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
2. 10+ years of professional experience in product design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user-centered design.
3. 3+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role within a design team.
4. Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or equivalent.
5. Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, user research, and usability testing.
6. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
7. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
8. Demonstrated ability to balance creative thinking with strong project management skills
