You’ll work closely with our web development, analytics, and digital marketing teams to implement solutions, troubleshoot technical issues, and support day-to-day client needs.Projects may range from configuring conversion tracking in Google Tag Manager and building GA4 reports to publishing website content, implementing structured data, performing site-speed audits, or troubleshooting marketing technology integrations.We’re looking for someone technically versatile, comfortable working across different platforms, and capable of independently taking a well-defined task from assignment through implementation, QA, and documentation. Workload will vary week-to-week depending on internal demand.This is a part-time, contractor, as-needed position. Key ResponsibilitiesImplement, test, and deploy tags, triggers, and variables within Google Tag ManagerConfigure and troubleshoot GA4 events, conversions, custom dimensions, and reportingSet up and validate conversion tracking for Google Ads and other advertising platformsTroubleshoot tracking issues, dataLayer problems, attribution issues, and sequencing/timing issuesWrite and maintain lightweight JavaScript for GTM and other web-based implementationsDebug and refine custom scripts used for form tracking, lead tracking, cookie compliance, and other client-specific requirementsBuild GA4 Explorations, reports, and dashboards to help teams understand website and conversion performanceAudit existing analytics and GTM implementations and recommend improvementsSupport privacy and consent implementations, including Consent Mode and CMP integrationsPerform website QA, browser testing, and technical troubleshootingPerform basic website performance and site-speed audits using tools such as Lighthouse and PageSpeed InsightsImplement and validate structured data/schema markup and assist with other technical SEO tasksMake content and configuration updates within CMS platforms, including publishing blog posts and updating existing pagesAssist with redirects, metadata, sitemap/indexation issues, and other routine website maintenance tasksCommunicate findings clearly and document completed work within internal workflows (Asana, Slack, etc.)Required Skills & Experience2+ years hands-on experience with Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4Strong understanding of GTM fundamentals, including tags, triggers, variables, dataLayer, and custom HTML implementationsExperience configuring GA4 events, key events/conversions, custom dimensions, and reportsSolid JavaScript knowledge, particularly for analytics, tracking, and lightweight website implementationsWorking knowledge of HTML and CSSAbility to debug technical issues using browser DevTools, including the console, network requests, cookies, and dataLayerFamiliarity with major advertising and marketing platforms such as Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta, Microsoft Ads, and similar platformsExperience working within CMS platforms such as WordPress, Webflow, Sanity, or similar systemsGeneral understanding of technical SEO concepts, including structured data, redirects, metadata, sitemaps, and indexationFamiliarity with website performance tools such as Google PageSpeed Insights and LighthouseStrong attention to detail and a methodical approach to implementation and QAAbility to work independently, manage asynchronous tasks, and learn unfamiliar platforms when necessaryAbility to clearly document technical work and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical team membersNice-to-Have SkillsExperience with HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, or other marketing automation platformsExperience with server-side Google Tag ManagerExperience with Looker Studio or other reporting/dashboard toolsUnderstanding of cookie compliance, Consent Mode, and common CMP platformsExperience implementing JSON-LD and structured dataFamiliarity with SEO and auditing tools such as Screaming Frog, SEMrush, or AhrefsExperience troubleshooting embedded forms, third-party scripts, and marketing technology integrationsExperience with common hosting and deployment platformsExperience working across multiple client websites in an agency environmentExperience working with distributed teams and asynchronous project management workflows Hourly: $60–70/hrAvailable Hours: 2 - 20 hours per week, based on assignments available Engagement: Part-time contractor, as needed
