In this role, you'll dive right into creating user-centered designs for digital products. You'll be developing wireframes and prototypes that bring ideas to life and conducting user research to really understand what makes our users tick. Your work will include designing responsive interfaces for both web and mobile applications, ensuring everything looks and feels just right across all devices. You’ll also be creating and maintaining design systems that keep our work consistent and polished. And of course, you'll be collaborating with product and engineering teams to make sure everything runs smoothly. We’d love for you to help analyze user feedback and metrics to keep improving our designs, and maintain design documentation to keep everyone on the same page. Plus, there’s room for you to get creative with user flows and journey maps.
We’re looking for someone with a BA/BS in Design or a related field, and a sparkling portfolio that shows off your UI/UX work. You should be proficient in design tools like Figma and Adobe XD. Experience with interaction design patterns and a solid understanding of front-end development principles will be key. We're also keen on strong visual design skills and excellent communication abilities. Ideally, you’ll have 3-6 years of experience in design work within a software setting. Given the unique location, familiarity with the local tech scene in Imperial Beach and a passion for surf culture could be a fun bonus!
We offer a competitive salary range of $114,700 to $124,700, depending on your experience.
