Directors are responsible for guiding others in execution and professional development.As a Technology Director, you will work closely with functional and technical leaders to plan for and execute enabling technology solutions. You will understand the business holistically and drive strategic alignment across teams. In addition, you will focus on outcomes; thinking through, documenting, and communicating value propositions and concrete metrics for success.Directors attract, retain, motivate, coach, and mentor top talent.Strategic AI & Growth Vision: Define and execute a bold, forward-looking MarTech roadmap that leverages Artificial Intelligence and machine learning to accelerate growth, driving omnichannel speed and scale. Large-Scale Enterprise Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing, multi-layered organization, fostering a strong culture while developing the next generation of technology leaders. Data & Activation: Architect and oversee the enterprise marketing data ecosystem and activation strategies, advanced identity resolution, and driving towards real-time omnichannel personalization.  Content & SEO: Drive the technical strategy for next-generation content supply chains and SEO optimization, utilizing modern frameworks to deliver, high-visibility digital experiences that enhance customer discovery and engagement. Loyalty Platform Evolution: Spearhead the technological transformation of loyalty and retention systems, building scalable platforms that deliver deeply personalized rewards and experiences to maximize customer lifetime value. Technical Domain Expertise: Experiences leading large retail brands through modernization efforts around key Martech capabilities such as: CDP, Orchestration, Decisioning, CMS, DAM, etc. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Marketing, Data Science, etc., to align the Martech stack with overarching business objectives and enterprise-wide growth initiatives. Operational Velocity: Establish a culture of operational excellence, engineering best practices, and agile delivery, optimizing Martech infrastructure to dramatically increase delivery velocity and reduce time-to-market.  Key Responsibilities:40% Strategy & Planning:Partners with functional and technical leaders to identify and plan capabilities necessary to meet short and long-term business needsDevelops and executes strategic plans in support of key objectives in a timely and fiscally responsible mannerInforms and drives strategic alignment and partnerships with functional and technical peers and leadersConnects the dots across multiple levels and related functions to understand the business holisticallyEvaluates research and market analysis, meets with third party vendors, and maintains knowledge of industry innovations and technology platforms to inform strategyEstablishes and nurtures strategic vendor relationships; influences vendors to align to domain, portfolio, and enterprise strategic objectivesDrives growth for the business by applying technical and domain expertise to provide thought leadership and translate vision into action40% Delivery & Execution:Defines and communicates value propositions, success metrics, and outcomesDocuments, reviews and ensures that all quality and change control standards are metDevelops, plans, and implements sustainable, repeatable, and reliable processes; oversees process improvementDrives operational excellence to create internal customer satisfaction and meet operational metrics while prioritizing external customer needsUnderstands and articulates the value creation and business proposition to teams and functional partners20% People:Provides leadership, mentoring, and coaching to direct reportsManages and coordinates strategic direction for staffAttracts, retains, develops, and motivates top talentConducts annual and mid-year reviews, reviewing individual development plans and providing performance feedbackDirect Manager/Direct Reports:Typically reports to Sr. Director or Vice President.Travel Requirements:Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.Physical Requirements:Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about.
