Technical Product ManagerLocation: RemoteReports to: VP of ProductThe RoleWe are seeking a highly collaborative, technically fluent Technical Product Manager who thrives operating both strategically and in the weeds. This is a player/coach role for someone who can help define long-term product direction while actively driving day-to-day execution across engineering, implementation, and client delivery teams.You will work closely with the VP of Product to shape product strategy, roadmap, and platform evolution. You will also serve as a critical bridge between client-facing teams and development - ensuring that customer needs translate into scalable, high-quality product capabilities.This role requires someone who champions user experience, understands complex recruiting workflows, and is comfortable working across React-based front-end applications, Ruby-based back-end systems, AI initiatives, and integration-heavy environments.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy & DirectionPartner with the VP of Product to define and refine product vision, roadmap, and strategic prioritiesTranslate business objectives and customer needs into actionable product initiativesBalance innovation, scalability, and operational excellence in roadmap planningDefine clear product outcomes and measurable success metrics (KPIs, adoption, engagement, performance, revenue impact)Product Execution & DeliveryOwn the end-to-end product lifecycle from discovery and requirements through release and iterationWrite detailed product requirements documents (PRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteriaManage and prioritize the product backlog, balancing new feature development, client-driven enhancements, and technical debtPartner closely with engineering teams to clarify scope, remove blockers, and ensure on-time deliveryParticipate actively in sprint planning, grooming sessions, stand-ups, and retrospectivesParticipate in release testing, QA validation, and post-release monitoring to ensure product qualitySupport release management for updates, enhancements, and new feature rolloutsUser Experience LeadershipChampion intuitive, efficient, and scalable user experiences across the platformCollaborate with design and engineering to refine workflows and reduce frictionAdvocate for usability best practices within recruiting and CRM workflowsUse customer feedback, data, and usage analytics to inform UX improvementsTechnical & Platform CollaborationWork closely with development teams across React (front-end) and Ruby (back-end) environmentsContribute to API and integration strategy, including third-party systemsHelp prioritize and address technical debt while maintaining development velocityUnderstand system architecture well enough to make informed trade-off decisionsCross-Functional PartnershipServe as the primary product liaison to Client Delivery and Implementation teamsTranslate real-world client implementation challenges into scalable product improvementsSupport complex integration projects and enterprise client requirementsAlign stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer SuccessRequired Qualifications5+ years of product management experience in a SaaS or technology environmentExperience in recruitment technology, HR tech, ATS, CRM, or talent acquisition platforms strongly preferredExperience working on products built with React and Ruby preferredExperience with AI/ML-enabled features or automation initiatives preferredStrong background in integrations and APIsProven experience managing product backlogs and agile development processesExperience defining and tracking product KPIs and success metricsSkills & CompetenciesPlayer/coach mentality — comfortable setting strategy while actively executingStrong technical fluency; able to engage deeply with engineers on implementation detailsData-driven decision maker with a focus on measurable outcomesExceptional collaboration and communication skillsStrong prioritization and stakeholder management abilitiesCustomer-obsessed with a strong user experience mindsetComfortable operating in fast-moving, evolving environments
